Sunlight is made up of multiple types of light: visible light we can see and emits heat, infrared light emits heat and UV light which emits heat and contributes to fading and damage to furnishings.

Professional window film blocks 99% of UV entering through windows where film is installed. This is achieved with UV absorbers in the adhesive or one of the many laminated layers. Layers of sputtered metal or sputtered nano-ceramics provide the heat rejecting capabilities of window film along with the light control. On the outermost layer is a scratch resistant coating to protect films from wear and tear.

What does window film look like?

Internally window film is optically clear and can have a tint that allows between 5% and 80% of the light to pass through. Often the internal colour finish is neutral and complimentary to outside views such as charcoal grey, sky blue or natural brown.

Externally window film can look shaded and dark, mirror-like reflective or invisible.
